Annual "Story Writing" Contest &
DREAM CATCHER'S Book
2016 Writing Contest Guidelines
1. The Story MUST be inspirational. Remember the kids reading these stories are ill and need something uplifting to read.
It is our discretion not to accept a story if it does not fit within the inspirational specs of this special book. Also, if we have T'shirts made for the kids, please include the child's T-shirt size and if you are interested in getting one. Should we be able to, we will have one made for them with the Kid's names on the back...if there's enough room. These shirts will be $8.50. I will update on this addition for the event.
2. It can be up to 700 words and needs at least two characters interacting.
3. At the top left corner of the story, it needs the child's name, age, grade, school, parents name, phone number & email ( If it does not have all of this, it will not qualify) We don't want to have to hunt a child down to let them know if they won...
DO NOT SEND AS PDF!! Each story has to be sent individually and have text giving us permission to print the child's story in this year's Dream Catcher's book.
4. Email the story to stories@gatheringofauthors.com and topazpublishing@aol.com with subject line "Grade the child is in along with Dream Catcher's Submission"
5. All entrants will be published in the 2016 Dream Catchers Book, benefiting St. Jude and Arkansas Children's Hospital.
6. Lastly, all kids will be assigned times to come and autograph books on Oct. 29th at the Arkansas Convention Center on the day of the Event.
This is a very special book these kids will be in. Their names and stories will be in print from now on and at the same time they will be helping kids who need treatment for illnesses. Thank you for being a part of this and I'll see you this fall.

Three SPECIAL AWARDS FOR: Most Inspirational Story, Most Creative Story and Publisher's Pick
These Three kids will get to read their story at the Charity Dinner on Friday Oct. 28th
